HOW WILL THESE DOLLARS BE USED? Funding will support all facets of learning and sustainability of Lakeland Joint School District’s current programs. Additionally, funding would assist with the proposed safety measures: Student Resource Officers in partnership with the City of Rathdrum and Kootenai County Entry Security for doors and windows Enhanced Emergency Response Systems Improved student health and safety services
TAX IMPACT The levy increase is estimated to be $0.112 per $1,000 of taxable value For a typical home with a current assessed value of $150,000 with a homeowners exemption the annual increase equates to $12.33/year or $1.03/month o 2015 property appreciation was 2.35% and the same rate was applied to values in this example for 2016 o The 2016 home owners exemption is 50% of assessed value up to $94,745
THS in Denver!
On Jan 20, 2016 twelve students along with Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Duran from the Timberlake Agriculture club traveled to Denver, Colorado for the National Western Stock Show. Over the course of three days,the group attended events including beef fitting clinics, youth beef showmanship and market classes,a horsemanship clinic, a rodeo and draft horse show to name a few. The purpose of the trip was to expose the students to agricultural on a national level and to look at how agriculture impacts our world. They were able to talk with individuals across the country that are involved in youth programs such as Future Farmers of America.
